Instructor Training Program 2012
The PROGRAM
You will gain valuable experience that will prepare you in the best way possible for the Instructor Development Course and the Instructor Examination.
The experience gained during your time with us will also make you far more attractive for any future employers.
Deep Sea Divers Den is one of the largest dive schools in Australia. We conduct all levels of courses in English, Japanese and Korean. We also run a day-boat to the Outer Barrier Reef and have our live aboard dive vessel permanently moored out there. A second liveaboard vessel, TAKA, services the far northern waters and the Coral Sea.
By entering into the Instructor Training Program you will gain experience on our day boat Reef Quest by:
- Help running the back deck (logging divers in/out, lookout duties etc)
- Controlling all diving activities
- Acting as a dive and snorkel guide
On our live aboard boat you will gain experience in the above mentioned PLUS assisting dive instructors with their courses and general boat drills and procedures.
We start English Open Water Courses seven days a week, Korean courses once and Japanese courses two times a week. You will be assisting instructors in the pool in all aspects of dive training and again gain valuable experience interacting with student divers of all nationalities and walks of life.
Deep Sea Divers Den has a great team of Instructors and Course Directors (Instructor Trainers). Everyone is very friendly and helpful and will assist you as much as possible in achieving your goals. Our indoor pool is always at your disposal for practicing your skills during the quiet hours.
We require you to always act in a professional manner with customer service and safety foremost in mind.
